Chicago is the third most populous city in the U.S. So being in the right spot is super important. Who wants to sit in traffic and waste hours out of their day? You want to be able to walk to your workplace, be close to shopping, and find entertainment at your fingertips. That’s why downtown Chicago is the most highly desired area. There are also specific areas in downtown that are ideal for your Chicago corporate housing; from River North, Streeterville, Gold Coast, to Lincoln Park. Knowing your personal preference allows your stay in your next temporary furnished apartment or home in Chicago a lot more comfortable.
Most corporate employees and executives like to be housed in River North because it is steps away from their office in Chicago’s business district (The Loop). There are apartment buildings in the loop, but after a certain time, it’s like a ghost town. River North is known for its art galleries, nightlife, and famous restaurants. It is still a short walk to the lake and Michigan Avenue (Magnificent Mile) if you want to go to the beach or do some shopping. We always have corporate executives stay in River North and their number one reason why they liked being there is its convenience of just walking a few blocks to their office.
If you want to be as close to Lake Michigan as possible, then Streeterville would be ideal. Navy Pier and John Hancock Observatory on Michigan Avenue are in Streeterville as well. This area is also known to have a top array of medical facilities such as a campus of Northwestern University, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, Feinberg School of Medicine, Prentice Women’s Hospital, and more. This would work perfectly for nurses, doctors, anyone in the medical field, and patients who are having ongoing treatment. We’ve had several traveling nurses who stayed with us and loved the fact that they only had to walk a block to get to work.
For a more urban living feel, Gold Coast would be great and can get somewhat pricy. Gold Coast became the home of the super-rich in 1885. On almost every corner you will find an upscale boutique and a vast array of shops such as Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, and more. So shopping will be at your fingertips.
For those who thrive on a family neighborhood living feel? Then Lincoln Park would probably suit you and your family; here you will find more homes than apartment complexes. Single-family homes in Lincoln Park are typically priced around the million dollar mark, so a 3-plus bedroom Chicago corporate housing would be something that we would provide. Lincoln Park Zoo is the main attraction to visitors and Chicagoans alike and has a lot of national retailers, boutiques, bookstores, restaurants, and coffee houses. DePaul University is in Lincoln Park as well, so you will find a lot of students. And where there are students, there will be many bars and clubs.
