- Barbie and Succession tied for the most nominations with nine each, but only won one award each. Barbie, the musical comedy film based on the iconic doll, won Best Original Song for “I’m a Barbie Girl” by Aqua, while Succession won Best Television Series – Drama. Both films were part of the cultural phenomenon of “Barbenheimer”, which received 17 nominations in total, including eight for Oppenheimer.
- The Boy and the Heron and Anatomy of a Fall won the new categories of Best Animated Feature Film and Best Foreign Language Film respectively.
